Blood Test Results Interpretation

Sometimes we may be told by our doctor that our bloods tests are all fine. We feel confused because we feel terrible and know that something isn’t quite right. We know that we used to feel better than we do right now.

It may be time for a second opinion.

Doctors use very wide reference ranges, and as long as you’re in that range, you are told you are ‘fine’. However, if you are at either end of that range, you will not be feeling your best and you will likely have symptoms and issues already beginning.

A naturopath will interpret your blood results using naturopathic optimal ranges, which are often narrower and much higher for some vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Moreover, a naturopath will consider where your blood reading was previously, compared to where you are now. Sometimes even a small change or decline is enough to make us feel awful, even if we still sit within the medical range of ‘normal’.
